"According to Krell (2012), gallicus should be the correct name for the beetle known as "zonatus" from large parts of Europe. The Palearctic catalogue (Löbl & Löbl, 2016) now lists that beetle as subspecies Trichius gallicus gallicus , next to the subspecies T. g. zonatus for a beetle from the southern Mediterranean. This has not (yet?) been adopted in the Dutch species register, but we are already implementing it here, partly because many users of observation.org would like to enter the beetles as Trichius gallicus ." says Danny VG in habitat Mountain meadows on 18.05.2025. Trichius gallicus (Trichius gallicus) is a species of beetle.
